DEALL Buckeyes at WICL-7 held at BYU (April 2025)

The Workshop on Innovations in Cantonese Linguistics (WICL) is a biennial conference series that was inaugurated at OSU in Spring 2012, as the only conference series in the Western Hemisphere that focuses specifically on Cantonese linguistics. WICL-7, held at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, on 11-12 April 2025 (postponed from Autumn 2024). It was hosted by two DEALL alumni, Professor Dana Scott Bourgerie (Ph.D., 1990) and Professor Matthew Christensen (Ph.D., 1994), both of whose Ph.D. dissertation was advised by Professor James H-Y. Tai.
